Jennifer Iden

I’ve had the privilege of teaching at Brevard Academy since August 2021, and with over ten years in education, I find supporting student growth and accomplishment throughout the school year to be the most rewarding aspect of my work.

Originally from Florida, I later moved to Texas to attend the University of North Texas, where I earned my degree in education. My family relocated from Houston to Brevard in June 2021, and we’ve been enjoying the area’s forests, waterfalls, and wildlife ever since.

At Brevard Academy, I am proud to serve not only as a classroom teacher, but also as the school’s AI Implementation Coordinator, supporting staff and students in using technology and artificial intelligence thoughtfully and responsibly to enhance learning. As a parent to two Bulldog students, Greyson and Brenna, I feel a strong personal connection to our school community.

Beyond the classroom, I am fortunate to mentor beginning teachers and support professional learning at both the school and state level. I have had opportunities to share ideas and best practices at conferences and events including Brevard Academy’s Carpe Diem, the North Carolina State Charter School Conference, the Exceptional Children (EC) Conference, the North Carolina Technology in Education Society (NCTIES), and the Western Carolina i-Ready Collaborative.

I’m excited to share my enthusiasm for learning with your children and look forward to all the amazing things they will accomplish at Brevard Academy!
