Caroleen Hodge

Hi! My name is Caroleen Hodge and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to work at Brevard Academy! I have over 40 years in education, and the kids still bring as much joy to my heart, as the first day I walked into a classroom! After many years of being in education, BA really feels like home! 

I’ve lived in Madison, Buncombe, and Transylvania Counties all my life. I graduated from WCU with a degree in both Elementary Education and in Reading K-12. I also received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from WCU, as well as my certifications as a School Administrator and an Instructional Specialist in Reading.

I have served in various roles at BA. I am the Assistant Director. I have been a Reading and Math Interventionist in the past, working with various grades in 3-8 during that time. While still working in interventions with students, I also serve as an Instructional Coach, supporting teachers and assistants as they work with students, and as our Beginning Teacher Support Coordinator.
