Enrollment Lottery

Submit an application to secure your child’s spot at Brevard Academy for the 2024-25 school year.

All current students at Brevard Academy will be automatically enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year, unless you notify us otherwise in writing.

We’re so excited that you’re considering Brevard Academy for the 2024-25 school year! Our open enrollment period begins each year in January and ends in March. During this time, all eligible students who submit an application will be entered into our enrollment lottery. Any application submitted after open enrollment will be added to the waitlist.

  • Lottery procedures will comply with the NC Open Meetings Laws provided in G.S, 143-218.10 (a). Brevard Academy will publicize the date times and location of the meeting and allow anyone to attend.

    The School may give enrollment priority in certain instances as stated in G.S.11`5C-238.29F(g). The School has decided to offer the following enrollment priorities and will implement them in the manner described below:

    1. Any sibling of an existing Brevard Academy student

    2. Any child of a current Brevard Academy staff member or governing board member

    3. Any child of an alumni of Brevard Academy

  • New student lottery applications will be accepted beginning January 14th continuing through March 15th at 5:00 p.m. If there are more applications for a grade than there are seats available, a lottery will be held to fill vacant seats in the grade. After seats are filled, the drawing will continue to determine the order of a waiting list. Applications received after March 15th at 5:00 p.m. will be considered if space is available or added to the waiting list if classes are full.

    If a student was placed on our waiting list before the 2024 enrollment application opened, please be sure to reapply to be enrolled or placed in the 2024 enrollment lottery.

Our Application Process

Follow the steps below to complete the application process.

  1. Click the green “Apply Now” button.

  2. Once on the Lotterease webpage, click on the “Registration” tab located on the left-hand side of the screen.

  3. Enter the parent’s basic demographic information on the “Registration” page. Click Submit. Save your account information so you can log back into your account at future dates.

  4. Enter your student’s information again on the “Add Child” screen. The program will direct you to this screen following the previous step. Click Submit.

  5. Select the grade level lottery to enter your child. This should be based on the grade you anticipate your child will be in the 2024-2025 school year. Click Submit. If you have additional children to enter into the sibling lottery, continue with the additional step below.

  6. Make sure to click on the “Enrolled Sibling” box if appropriate. The program defaults to a general lottery application otherwise. If you have additional siblings click on the “Add Sibling” tab located on the left-hand side of the screen for each additional child you need to enter into the sibling lottery.
